  17. Hey all, Sorry the webinar is full. I will have to buy more seats next time. These seats were gone in less than 24 hours! I know there will be some people who havent even read the email yet. The early birds were those that picked it up from Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Friendfeed etc.

  18. Hi Tim

I nearly signed up yesterday, but I hesitated as I would have had to wake up at 4 in the morning. There was still a spot! I could kick myself. I went to sign up today – no luck!

Please, please let me know if a space becomes available. Can’t you buy more seats now?

    Regards
    Ginny

    • Hi Ginny, I am sorry you missed the sign-up. I had no idea it would fill that quickly. I can’t buy more seats after the fact. We will be hosting some more webinars and I will look at buying some more seats in the future depending on what it will cost me. The first notification goes to the list from Digital Paint Magazine. So if you are not subscribed come on board with us, if you are already subscribed you are good to go. Tim

  19. Hi,

is there going to have a CD or course of the webinar?
    thank you

    • Hi Elene-I am not sure yet if we will have a DVD or recording. At this point I am not planning on it. There will be some announcements coming soon through the Digital Paint magazine list first, then this blog about a course being released in February and another fun exiciting product coming in April. Stay tuned!

  20. I do hope you you record it. Didn’t respond fast enough.
    Bob

  21. This looks great, sorry to see it is full. If you have a waiting list please add my name.

  22. Tim,
Can you do some sort of video recording and make that available for those of us that will miss it because it is full. John has recorded some of his webinars and made them available for free or for purchase. I’m really sorry I will miss this one.

  23. Diana Sparks says:

Please reconsider recording the seminar, Tim! I have been away from my computer for a week due to the flu and just found out what I missed out on. I know you’ll have future webinars, but this subject is of particular interest and it would be terrible to miss any chance of seeing it. If you’re not sure how to do the recording, just ask John Derry. He records his webinars (both paid and freebies) and makes them available for download to those who couldn’t attend and/or who want to refer back to the instructions later. What a perfect holiday gift to all of us who have undoubtedly been more nice than naughty this year! (Not to mention those who have survived The Great Flu of ’09 and lived to paint another stroke . . . .) Folks might even be willing to pay for the recording, if given the opportunity. Please think about it. Thanks!

    • Hi Diana,

Each piece of software for hosting webinars is different. I used to use gotowebinar which is kind of the standard, it is 100.00 a month or so for the package I had for a small number of users. I changed because they are not really MAC friendly and I had a challenge getting the recordings to a format that we could use. Never did get the last webinar of Darrells where it could be viewed. johns we had no problem with and most of the webinars I have done in other business areas for other lists I have no challenges.

I just switched to another company to host this webinar. A few of my internet marketing friends have used it with decent results but say the recording quality is awful. I watched a playback and it was truly poor. Not at all like we are used to. So for that reason I dont think we will have a play back. I will record it with the webinar software as well as with screen flow to see what happens.

  24. Diana Sparks says:

Thanks, Tim! I should have known you’d be trying everything. How aggravating for you! I’m also on Mac, so I really appreciate your efforts to make sure we’re included. I sure hope your recording experimentation yields successful results, but if it doesn’t, it certainly won’t be for lack of toil and trouble!

  25. Ginny Fletcher says:

    Hi Tim

I am subscribed to Digital Paint – that us probably why I had the opportunity to sign up! I am so mad with myself.

I do hope you find a way to do a ‘decent enough’ recording. I am also on a Mac.

I can’t wait to hear about what’s happening in Feb.

When is the next magazine coming out?

    Regards
    Ginny

    • Hi Ginny! I am working diligently on the mag. I just finished the unveiling of a commission on Fri so now I can focus on getting this issue out. It is short on content as I mentioned, and without the nice design we normally have but….it will be out before the end of the month.

  26. If any one cannot make this ,woulsd you let me know?i just got out of hospital and found out about the weninar…would love to attend

  27. Missed this with the Holidaze & all. Would love to see a recording if available.
    Thanks for your efforts!

  28. What a great artist Darrell is. Thank you so much for the webinar.
My question to Darrell would be how does he handle painting of children. Darrell recommends to “lose the photographic look” which is so hard just like he says. Any suggestions for brushes, etc for children’s faces. Does he use the same techniques. On men it seems easier because they have a more rugged face.
Darrell inspired me. I am going to the library and study some of the masters.
    thank you,
    janet

  29. Tim & Darrell
Thanks so much for the inspiration. Now I need to get to more learning, and along with Janet… get myself to the library.
There is also much to study on line. Here is a link to images from Canada\’s landscape masters… The Group of Seven

    Thanks for the opportunity…
    Garth
